Wedding Food - Navi Mumbai Photographer

There are 2 things that Weddings are irresistible for and a serious must go - the couple getting married and the yummylicious FOOD. Of course, the cute and beautiful ladies at the wedding also is an interesting reasons but I'll blog about it some day later.

So where do I start about food at wedding. I am not a foodie and mostly while shooting weddings I don't get enough time to taste the food and relish it. But I have a list of my favorite dishes that I never, ever miss out tasting.

Here are some of the food photos from few weddings that might make you SLUUUURPP!!

Never forget to have the lip smacking Aam Ras or a Fruit Salad. :D

And the Kebabs... Gosh! am already drooling!

Lincy + Jesvin - Navi Mumbai Photographer

Choosing your Photographer - Navi Mumbai Photographer

Today’s brides and grooms are more sophisticated than ever about the quality of images and shooting style they’re looking for. But the range of photographic options can be baffling for even the most savvy couples.

Photojournalism vs. Traditional Photography
Though many couples are encouraged to opt for a “ photo-journalistic” photographer, most clients want a mixture of both candid and posed images. A true photojournalist documents what happens, and never interferes with or poses his or her clients and would not have any posed images. However, there might be need to have at least a few posed images especially the portraits. Thus, the vast majority of photographers offer a mix of both photo-journalistic and posed images. Be sure to ask whether your photographer is willing to create the images that are most important to you.
Tip: Don’t be surprised if your photographer asks you to burst out laughing or sashay slowly down a grassy hill. Many a times “candid” moments are actually staged by the photographer.

Finding the Right Photographer
When checking out photographers, it’s important to consider overall photographic talent and ability, Photoshop skills, responsiveness, interest in your wedding, commitment to understanding your vision for your wedding photography, and ability to design a beautiful album. But it’s also important to find a personality that suits your own personal style.
Some people like quiet photographers who are rarely seen. Others like interactive photographers who have big personalities. You should be able to get a strong sense of the person behind the photographer when you meet. You may be working with your photographer for up to six months after your wedding, so it’s important that you like your photographer and their own personal style.
Tip: If you want creative and good work on your wedding, do not expect it to be cheap and low in price. Every photographer would value his work in a way and would charge accordingly for his work. Do look at the offerings and style you would want when choosing the photographer.

Second Photographers
Having a second photographer will ensure the best possible coverage. While the primary photographer is taking group shots, the second photographer can take side angles or detail images, or just walk around and capture candids of your wedding guests enjoying themselves. While the lead photographer is with the bride and groom, the second photographer can also do all the detail shots of the reception or party room, including centerpieces, tables and the cake. A second photographer is also necessary when the getting-ready preparations take place in separate locations, as the lead photographer is usually with the bride and her attendants.
Tip: Second photographers are particularly helpful for getting-ready, ceremonies and the first part of a reception.

Working with Your Photographer
Your photographer is the only person that you’ll be working with for a long time after your wedding, so it’s important that you like your photographer and agree with how they handle their business. Communication is the key to a successful working relationship. Your photographer should be honest with you if something you want isn't possible, or an expected time frame cannot be met. Good communication and realistic expectations – from all sides – will help ensure that your wedding celebration is documented in the best possible way.
Tip: A good photographer will always tell you what is and isn't possible. If your photographer says that something won’t work, listen to them, as they always have your best interests in mind.

Your Photographer and “Light”
When meeting with any photographer, you’ll probably hear them talk quite a bit about light, particularly the light at certain times of the day. In general, the most flattering light can be found in “open shade,” and when the sun is lower in the sky, as in late afternoon. This is also the time of day when beautiful beautiful portraits can be taken. Most photographers are committed to delivering the best possible images, so they will talk to about when the optimal times are to do portraits. The advice; your photographer provides should be worked into your timeline to ensure the best final images.
Tip: Listen to your photographer when preparing the schedule. Right lighting while taking photos helps the photographer take awesome photos of yours

Giving enough time and scheduling
I have seen in most weddings that delay in one ceremony delays the entire wedding resulting in to hush and rush situation. Hush and Rush situations are not favorable for good photos.
Tip: The more time you give to the photographer, more the likeliness of awesome photos.

These are just few pointers when it comes to choosing and working with photographers. Talk to your photographer and communicate clearly your expectations to get what you desired out of your wedding

Susan + Ashwin - Navi Mumbai Photographer

This was the fun and first wedding of this season. Susan, a beautiful and a confident lady married to a handsome hunk. Ashwin an aspiring photographer and a calm and composed person. Other than being a photographer he is a Projects leader overseas. :D. It was a simple Goan wedding with beautiful and bright colors. And here are few pictures of the day.

This was cute decor at Ashwin's place.

After the nuptials in church, We had a short couple portrait session. Since it was November and it gets dark really fast. It was pitch dark. So dark that you couldn't see each other's face. There came the hot video lights to our rescue. It was like a last ray of hope for me to complete the portraits session. Susan and Ashwin braved the heat and posed like rockstars. Even though they were sweating like hell.
Ain't they looking soooo AWESOME!!!
