Film Journey

I had been on a rollercoaster ride so far. Always felt great to shoot so many weddings and edit them and yes designing albums too. It doesn’t take a lot of time but yes lot of creative juices for clicking a photograph, even more to edit photos and design albums.

Well, in the interim I have started my first independent project Film project. Yes, I am not escaping from posting all the oohhsome weddings I had shot. I am just taking some moments out for shooting each exposure in film from plethora of editing activities.

"Film is entirely different ball game" That's what I keep saying everyone but never braved a film camera. So here I am with all the experience and knowledge that have gathered so far about photography kick starting my film project.

I have an old Praktica MTL 50 gifted by a friend who doesn’t use it anymore and some films. The interesting thing is I have to do everything. Exposure Calc, Auto focus and yes film rewind. The baddest feature about this camera is that it shows two lights to tell me that the photo is dark or bright. So I have to understand with my sixth sense that how much bright it is or how much dark it is. I think this should be a good challenge for this project.

I was glad to shoot my friend's new born niece - Myrah. It was a gift from my friend to his brother and think it was one of the best-est idea ever - Gifting a photo-session!! and must say it was worth.

GSC Sports - Navi Mumbai Photographer

Last Sunday, the church youth group had organized a neighborhood football and throw ball match. The entire idea was to bring people closer and have fun.
The participation among people was superb including young and old, including the cheering people and players.
I, as usual, participated in capturing the game and yes it was delight to do so. Here are some of the exciting captures of the day.

I like the vividness and the bright contrast between the grass and jeans. Everytime I see this picture I fall in love with myself.. Hope you do too..

Eyes on You - Navi Mumbai Photographer

I recently bought a new 50mm lens. This lens has amazing DOF (blurring abilities). Oh boy !!!, this is an amazing lens and every photographer should carry.. It is so small that you can actually slip it in your pocket..

And there is no other model who can replace my sweet little MAW. He plays mostly with his favourite feather (thinking its a mouse :-p) and this is one of his picture waiting to pounce on the feather.

20th Dec was a great day.. it was more of a date with the old beauties..

Yeah I am referring to Vintage Cars :p. Vintage cars right from Ferraris to 80 year old Ford..
It was a great show with an awesome turnover of vintage car lovers too.
I had a great time clicking these beauties though i had to wake up early at 5:00am
